About George3D.ca
I'm George Wells. I spent 24 years in the Army Reserve, serving in infantry, logistics and communications, and retired as a Captain.
George3D.ca started on a whim. I got into 3D printing in 2022 with an Ender 3, like most people, and it took off. From there I moved through more Creality printers, then Sovol, and now I print on Bambu Lab machines. My designs have gotten a lot more detailed along the way.
The Claymore hitch cover is definitely the most popular thing I've ever offered. I make other things besides hitch covers, but they're what's listed here for now.
I started out printing in PLA, same as everyone. Now most of what I make is PETG, because it handles heat and can sit outside without breaking down. Some pieces are PLA Pro instead, a tougher blend that holds up the same way, and that's usually down to colour. The olive green I use is PLA Pro because I still haven't found a PETG in the right shade.
I make these for serving members and veterans who want to show pride in what they do and have done. Every cover is designed, printed and finished by me in Innerkip, Ontario. The PPCLI and RCR covers are authorized by their regimental headquarters, and a donation from every one goes back to the regimental fund.
I also make free custom pellet holders for cadet marksmanship teams.
Sales come in spurts, and I'm always looking forward to the next order. If you have an idea for your regiment, your unit or something else entirely, tell me about it.
